The first skate of the year was a pretty rad one. We hit up some flat ground in coatbridge before our show here tonight. The ground was covered on glass but we persevered.

Friday morning Merch post!
I’m pretty tired, it’s been a long day and I’m up early to drive my mom to work, before heading to work myself. However, putting iTunes on shuffle and taking some time out of my day to draw on these envelopes filled with our band merch makes it all worthwhile.
I hope if you’re a recipient you enjoy the doodles. Also I hope I meet you someday if I haven’t already!

The other week, Flood of Red played us two really-quite-new songs (the titles we have are ‘working’ ones) on the stairs, backstage at The Borderline in London.
Above, you can see them do ‘The Weight Of Water’, and if you want more, the whole session, featuring ‘Lashes’, too, is on DIY.
DAY 4 - PRESTON CANCELLED / LAST MINUTE ‘DEAD’ SESSION
So on Day 3 of the tour with our hombres in The Xcerts, Murray had to pull out of the show due to an illness. We managed to get on down to Bath to still play the show and we had an amazing night. A very sincere thank you to anyone who was there, we haven’t felt so welcome away from home like that before. A truly awesome night.
DAY 4 was scheduled for a show in Preston. Sadly Murray couldn’t do the show, however this time the promoter decided to cancel the whole show. We were pretty heart broken. We’ll be back soon though.
We took the time we had just been given to get the gear out, set up in a kitchen and bust out a stripped down version of ‘Losing All Balance in Fells Point’. It was nice to play a chilled out version and we really enjoyed making it. Our good good friend Mark Forrer filmed & edited all the footage last night in a few hours and we love him dearly.

My brother Sean in Bath. Great night last night.
Unfortunately The Xcerts had to pull out of the Bath show last night, we strayed down after not being there for almost 6 years not knowing what to expect.
It ended up being so cool, great town, great crowd, great people.
This morning we’re sitting in a service station halfway to Preston waiting to find out if we’re able to play again tonight without The Xcerts.
TOUR!
Woke up in the Green Palace after driving down in a shoddy shoddy wee van. We hung out with nicks parents and made food for most of the evening. Nick has the bestbathroom I’ve ever been in, I could travel the distance just to use his shower.
This morning we’re heading to Sheffield to pick up our buddy Mark Forrer, he filmed our music video for ‘Little Lovers’ and he’s coming out on tour to take some photos & film some rad things.
Then we head to Brighton to meet The Xcerts as well as some old friends I’m very excited to see.
I feel like this tour is very special, we really haven’t been playing many shows recently, 2011 was a very quiet year for us - but this tour is with some of our best friends. It’s a privilege to play every night. We’re going to be savouring every moment like a bat out a cave in winter. Jordan spiers is my hero.
